This groomer recently relocated to Dix Ave. in Lincoln Park. We had been taking our Shepherd there for over 2 years (since we adopted him). On our last vist (over a week ago), they SHAVED HIS WHOLE BODY! In the past, shaving meant trimming his hind quarters. If they changed their policy on shaving, they should have explained that to us! Also, from all of the information I have gathered, you're not supposed to shave a Shepherd completely; a professional groomer should have known that. Since they shaved him, our poor boy has started biting his feet and licking himself uncontrollably, the the point where he's actually bleeding. When I called the owner, he didn't seem concerned and informed me they have some new groomers that weren't familiar with Ace (our dog); even though they keep a card file that they are supposed to reference. This has been a terrible experience. Please, only take your pets to a reputable groomer; preferably to someone referred by a family member or friend. There are a lot of reputable groomers downriver. In my opinion, this is not one of them!
