I have been a member of GO for 1.5 years. I work in the same building and when I knew there is a gym downstairs, I thought of giving it a shot. I love this gym because it is never crowded and I always get access to whatever machines I want. And there are no restrictions like “please use cardio machines for 30 minutes during busy schedules”. The restrooms and showers are very clean and well maintained.
I had gained a lot of weight after my pregnancy. My daughter was 1 year old and still I had to shed an extra 40 pounds to reach my pre-pregnancy weight. During the initial few months I did motivate myself and achieve some part of my goal. The main exercises that I did those days were running and elliptical. I did an evaluation after 6 months at GO and I knew that even though I had lost some weight, I had lost a considerable part of my lean muscles. LEAN muscles – WHAT? That was a new thing for me.
I asked Kate whether I can try out the group PT program, and she asked to try it out free for 1 week. I was never an active person and I was so embarrassed to go to the class. I felt people will laugh at me because I could not even do the simplest sit-ups at that point. But Kate made me feel so comfortable that I decided to continue the program. And since then I would say this is one of the BEST decisions that I ever made in my life. I was skeptical on whether I should spend money for the classes, But now I can say, it is worth every penny you spend. Their group program is fabulous they will make you breathless in 20 minutes. So you will get the results in shorter time. And they usually make you do a combination of cardio and strength exercises. I have been trained by Kate, Jodi and Sally and all of them are truly amazing and motivating!! Kate used to give me even diet tips. Now I have almost reached my weight loss goal, and I am a very confident person now ? Thank you GO!
I will recommend this gym to all. For all fitness levels. For men and women. Here you will see very friendly, motivating and helpful trainers. I liked their program and trainers so much that I made my husband join this gym. And guess what, he too loves this gym.
