Unlike places like CD Tradepost there is no ""overstock"" penalty when trading in media. It's purely based on condition and the price it is sold for. It is also the only place in Lawrence that accepts imports. It is also one of only two stores that deals in anything older than one console generation back ie Dreamcast, Sega Saturn, SNES, Master System, Atari etc...but the selection at Game Guy is not even close to being this vast.\r

While the selection is unbeatable many of the expensive, rare and import titles are not on display, so never be afraid to ask. Of course if you are looking into things like this expect to pay the average online price or perhaps a little more. Look into this beforehand so you don't get sticker shocked. This is balanced by the fact that there is no shipping cost and you don't have to wait. If you are considering a special order, however, I would recommend checking online yourself first, because at this point you aren't gaining anything if you can find it yourself for less money.\r

What about the common person you say? Well don't worry, there are plenty of games for the latest consoles as well as dvd movies, cds and anime. In addition to this there is what is referred to as a game room which is essentially a modern arcade with any system you can think of with massive hdtvs and large comfortable chairs. Anything in the store can be played in addition to the titles upstairs. This can be a great way to try very expensive titles before you consider purchasing them, so don't be afraid to ask. The one drawback is there will almost always be children playing Rockband, Guitar Hero or some random FPS. The prices are time based and are much cheaper than the old quarter eating machines.
Pros: Great selection, the best trade-in rates.
Cons: Generally expensive in most cases.
