I had my first Fred's experience recently and they now have a customer for life! The inside is small and diner-like with Gene Autry movies playing on the TV's, good country music playing and concert posters on the wall. My husband and I went at an ""off"" time, as we tend to get out and about for lunch around 2 p.m. usually. Some of the staff were hanging out and chatting, with what seemed like a few regulars hanging out at the bar. All of this made for such a friendly and laidback vibe, I felt instantly comfortable. My husband had the Fred Burger and I had the Diablo Burger. The fries were fresh cut and made in-house. Definitely not frozen and out of a bag! The patty on both burgers was juicy and flavorful. As many may already know, the Diablo burger has won Fred's many accolades and as I discovered, for good reason. The swiss cheese was perfectly melted, the vegetables fresh, and there were big, thick slices of chipotles with smears of adobo sauce dripping off the sides. The chipotles did not overwhelm, however. All the flavors worked well together and the chiies gave everything a nice kick! Now, I love spice but do not like it when the spice is so strong, you can't taste anything. The Diablo had my nose running and my forehead glowing, but I could still taste everything...awsome!! As long as my mouth still works, I'll keep coming back to Fred's!!
Pros: great atmosphere, great food, fun
