Air City Motors - Sold us a unsafe SUV
Bought a SUV from AIR CITY MOTORS on 9-2-09... 2 days later it is in the shop, and has been parked in the driveway. The SUV needed (we were led to believe from AIR CITY MOTORS) a front end alignment, we asked them to fix it before we bought it. The OWNER came into the room said how about $200 off the price and we would probably come out ahead on the alignment issue. Took it to the auto shop who informed us the issue was not a front end alignment, the SUV had upper and lower ball joints that were in terrible condition (repairs over $800) and the vehicle should NOT even be driven. Since it was under the 90 day warrenty we called the insurance company AIR CITY MOTORS is with. The insurance company was HIGHLY UPSET !!! They couldn't believe they even put this SUV on the market with the upper & lower ball joints that bad. The mechanic spoke to the insurance company himself. The insurance company also said it was a SAFTEY RISK, I could have been hurt!!! The insurance company plans on fixing the issue and making AIR CITY PAY for half of the repairs!! We believe they KNEW the ball joints were bad, since they put brand new under inflated tires on the SUV. We also believe when we asked for the front end to be aligned BEFORE we bought the SUV, they knew it was not a front end alignment that was needed, that is why the owner was to quick to offer us the $200.00 of the price instead. Beware of AIR CITY MOTORS in Fairborn,OH ...TRIED to HARM ME
