Poor club for Deer hunting 9/23/2009

I have been hunting Deer on this property for 6 years. The first 5 years were average seeing 1 or 2 bucks per year. This all changed this year with the owners son taking control. Please keep in mind this propery is approx 165 acres in size. You are required to call in advance to hunt so you are suppose to be the only one on the property at the time of your hunt. This is a good system if the owner would just do his job. On 3 seperate occasions the owner let tagert shooters onto the middle of the property during our deer hunt. This causes a potential saftey hazard not to mention the deer are not going to be around when someone is shooting at targets. On the 3rd time this happened I called the owners son to let him know I have a concern with saftey and to ask if he had asked the target shooters to leave. He proceeded to yell profanities at me and said if I did not like it he would escort me off the property. At this point my 14 year old son told me this is a bad place to hunt and was nervous about the saftey so we left and never came back. We felt ripped off and this gave my son a negative outlook on deer hunting. I told him this is a very bad example of how a club should be run and next year will join a club that my friend has been very happy huntnig. My advise is to save your money on this club and look for one that focuses on hunting. The owner is only after pocketing your money and is clueless on how to successfully manage a club. Pros: Close to my home Cons: Possible safety issues and compete with target shooters more
