I have been a student at this school for more than 5 years, and without trying to sound too dramatic, it has improved my life in ways I never would have imagined. I joined the Wushu/Kung fu program at age 48, not in very good shape, and as a smoker. After 6 months of intensive cardio training (which this school really emphasises) I finally quit smoking. Also today at age 53 I am definately in the best shape I have ever been physically. This has all been accomplished in a safe and fun way, and taught by instructors that really do care about you as a person first and student second. I also started the Tai Chi classes a year ago, and am truly enjoying the calmness that it brings to me as well as improving my core strength and balance, which helps in so many other areas of my daily life.
If you are looking for a Martial Art school that will shove a lengthy contract down your throat, promise you a black sash in 2 years, and nickel and dime you at every turn, then this is not the school for you. If you wish to work on your health while learning a beautiful art, and gaining the confidence that you will be able to handle yourself in any number of situations, at a school that promotes a feeling of well being both externally as well as internally (not to mention a great group of people who seem more like friends than classmates) then this might be a good choice for you. There is no cost to check it out, so what have you got to lose?
