Had lunch in Mount Vernon today at The Trumpeter. It was an amazing gem found only by following a simple sandwich board off a main street in Mount Vernon. What a find it was! Great atmosphere (pub style but with better ambiance) and a creative menu featuring organic and local ingredients. The food was amazing and thoughtfully prepared! We had the gorgonzola and balsamic stuffed crimini mushrooms to start and were not let down by the main dishes. Even the salad dressings were fresh, homemade and unique.
