The first wedding dress place I went to was in Roseville (closed now) and they made me feel horrible. I sheepishly walked into Maria's one evening (without an appt.) and the lady there was SO sweet. I told her that I was just looking and she started pulling dresses right away and offered to help in any way. My husband happened to be along since the trip was not planned and I was from out of town and the other store yelled at me for having him with, while the sales person at Maria's said, ""oh, you'll look so different on the day!"" I am not a size 0, 2 or 4 and she did not make me feel bad like another reviewer mentioned. She worked within my budget and they have a nice selection of dresses under $2000.
I decided on a beautiful dress and it had a very delicate hidden zipper which I hadn't realized. When it came in, I tried it on at the store with the help of an associate and the zipper broke! However, they said they would fix it right away. The seamstress did a wonderful job with such a major repair.
Just went back last weekend with my sister in law that is engaged and we had another great experience. We made an appointment and together with an associate pulled so many lovely dresses and my sister in law found a gorgeous dress that fits her personality perfectly. One of the managers recognized me from 5 years ago and said it was nice to see me!
I have noticed that they are honest with their opinions, but I prefer this and I never felt ignored or belittled. I love Maria's and recommend making an appointment, just so you have a sales associate that is scheduled to help you personally.
