Do not waste your time, business, money, or event in this place!!!
Besides the ridiculously high prices, this place was willing to let a group of over 15 people (of different races and both genders), all there for a party and already inside spending $, leave because 1 person joining the party had supposedly 'too baggy pants,' even though the place was pretty dead and empty. Everyone agreed his pants were not too baggy, and their dress code policy says, but doesn't explain what is 'excessively baggy pants'. If you are a guy, you never know what will be considered 'too baggy', as also confirmed by other reviewers.
Service is also somewhat incompetent, since we had to ask the bartender more than twice for the same drink, and they are also VERY SNEAKY with prices promoting martinis as part of happy hour special, but not explaining that some martinis are not part of the special until after you ask for the wrong martini. (and after the obvious mistake, not offering to change the actual happy hour drink you intended to order)
Oh, also, too hard to find out EXACTLY how much it is to bowl!!! I called at least 5 times, and prices varied from $5/6 per game, and $75/ lane per hour. There's nothing about it on their site. (the actual price was $75 per lane when we got there, whether you have 1 person or 12, on a friday or saturday night).
There are just so many better places around there!!
For Happy Hour & food: go to McCormick's! For a night of ACTUAL upscale fun, go to the Standard Downtown or the Edison! For hangout after a Staples game or birthday party, go to ESPN Zone a few doors down! For bowling, maybe go to their Orange location. For B.S., go to this place.
Pros: if anything, it's the innovative idea of bowling/club
Cons: Everything else, especially doorman, vibe, prices, service.
