Don't leave your loved ones here!!!\r

Giving this place 1 star is more than they deserve. They leave critical patients alone unchecked for hours. My grandmother was at Little Company of Mary, was stable after a heart attack, but still needed long term care to recover from that and a recent hip fracture. She was talking to everyone, singing out loud to pass the time during her recovery at Little Company. She was then transfered to Vista. After being in Vista for 5 days, she immediately dropped in health, was sent to ICU, put on life support, then passed. She lost all color in her face, muscular structure, the ability to speak-she didn't even recognize her great grand children. She stopped wanting to eat, contracted the VRE infection (caught from nurses not washing their hands and using dirty equipment). This caused a fever the staff couldn't get down. The nurses there are unreachable, rude and will not even give you an update on your loved one unless you demand it from the doctor. Our doctor demanded a CAT scan, chest xray & ekg stat. The last I checked, stat meant NOW. It took them 3 days to do it. \r

The results showed she had an pnemonia asperation from food in her lungs. The nurses kept feeding her and didn't know because the tests had not been ran.\r

If you don't believe me, check it out by taking a walk around. The employees look like they picked them up off the street. They are loud, they laugh in the hall and appear to be having social hour. They hire kids to take care of the people we love.\r

Go to Promise Suburban in Paramount. We regret that we didn't. We were in the process of getting her transferred, but were too late.\r
Cons: Everything.
