I have been going to Edie's for a few years and every time I go is the same thing. It takes a long time to get service and they make you feel like they are doing you a favor. Half the time I don't even get a thank you but a ""next!!"" when they I hand over my payment.
Today the service was especially bad since I bought a cake and asked the person to write ""Happy Birthday Lawrence"" on it. She sighed, went into the kitchen and came back with a flat strip of white chocolate where it said ""Happy Birthday"" and the name I gave her, but the name didn't even fit in the space where she put it, it looked all squeezed in one corner and you couldn't even really read it. The worst part about it was that she was handling that with her bare hands and then she set it on the top of the cake and arranged it between the fruit and the rest of the garnishes. I was not comfortable with her doing that with her bare hands since she was just handling money, and the chocolate banner was supposed to be edible. I told my family this is the last time we ever go to Edie's. The pastries are good but they are not worth the bad customer service since I always leave upset.
Pros: Good pastries and sandwiches
Cons: HORRIBLE customer service
