A few weeks ago my daughter and I stopped in to inquire about a baby shower cake. It is obvious they are only interested in the $$$ they get from wedding cakes, because they only have photos of them and no other cakes. \r
They offer cake tasting only if you are getting a wedding cake, etc. \r
They do serve stuffed pockets on the weekends and I ordered one with spinach and feta cheese. After one bite I was unable to eat it. Tasted like it had too much baking soda in it- very salty. I quietly stood at the counter until a woman came to assist me. I explained that the item was unedible and that I would like to try a different item. I was told they do not take returns. I tried to tell her I thought there was something off about the taste and that I wanted to have her change it for something else because I was unable to eat it. Again I was told, ""we cannot take it back, it is against health code"". No ""I'm sorry"", ""let me get you something else"" basically ""too bad for you"". They were not interested in making me happy, I only spent $6 on two small items...I informed the woman that I would go to Rheinlander Bakery in Old Town Arvada for my cakes and that they had lost a customer and many others because of their lack of customer service. I also gave them back the bag with the nasty stuffed pocket in it and told them to throw it in their own trash, as I didn't want it in mine. The owner was standing there when I did it and no one even tried to make me happy, so over a $3 item they are willing to risk their business opportunities with my family and our friends. No problem, Rheinlander is much better quality and prices, and they have better customer service. I was just so shocked that they were disinterested in keeping a customer happy and saving their reputation.
Cons: customer service and quality are poor
