Based on its long standing success and excellent reputation, I expected The Boulder Cork to excel in delivering classic steakhouse cuisine in an upscale environment. The traditional decor and the attentive and knowledgeable staff certainly enhanced this impression. And I already knew about the award winning wine list. What I did not expect was the level of sophistication and thoughtfulness the kitchen put into its preparations. The chef's passion for fresh, natural ingredients and culinary details were evident causing our meal to far transcend the typical, upscale steakhouse experience. It was simply the best steak I can remember putting in my mouth including recent offerings at far more expensive locales. And the fresh seafood, local farm vegetables and generous desserts were also prepared to perfection. Bravo!
