On one occasion, I had a tire that went bad. The company used actual miles on the tire to determine warranty, rather than tire measurement. When I insisted that the tire (100,000 mile tire) did not have 60,000 miles left due to existing tread, the statement from the Les Schwab employee was that tires last longer as they wear down.
