Our 10 year old dog was struck by a car on a Saturday afternoon. We first took him to another emergency vet where they added the bill up faster than they diagnosed him. They immediately told us he possibly had a ruptured bladder and needed surgery immediately to the tune of $2000-4000. Well, my husband and I were in shock and considerably upset. We didn't have this kind of money readily available. Once we told them this, they referred us to After Hours. We called them, they say they would work with us on the bill and we took him right over.
Pros: Care about the well-being of the patient and owners
Cons: Emergency care is never cheap
