I live in the Clear Lake Webster area so I thought this would be the perfect place to get my wedding dress but I was so wronge!!! I first went into the store in Feb. of 09 and I was so excited to pick out my dress and start planning my big wedding.. Well, all of you know that right now we are in the middle of a recesion and times are hard for alot of people.. Well these times happened to face my fiances line of work pretty badly..So we are having to put off our wedding.Anyway, I tell the manager of the store that I am going to cancel my layway. I was already upset about this enough because I was having to postpone my wedding day. She was so rude to me and EXTREAMLY UNPROFESSIONAL!! She treated me like a low life individual because I could not afford to keep my layway. I told her that I would come in the store in a few months and just purchase the dress with cash. I was already losing ten percent of my layway purchase already. Well she tells me that I can only have 75.00 mailed to me and it could take a week or two to even arrive. I was okay with that but then I realized that I was still missing another 137.00 that I needed back. She told me that I would only be able to use that money through store credit and only at there store. I was so angry that I tried to explain to her that I used my debit card which is like cash when i paid the 137.00. She proceded to tell me that it did not matter she had to go by what was on the receipt. The receipt had an error and said that I paid with store credit or a david bridal card. Well I do not even own a david bridal card.!! I was so furious and shocked that a store manager would treat me so poorly and unprofesional. So I left with the 137.00 store credt and began to realize that I could show proof from my bank that I made the purchases with my debit card which is like cash. I brought the proof of the transactions to her the next day and she refused to look at them and said she could not do anything else for me. I cannot believe she would not try to fix her own mistakes. I deserve the money back that I paid for and believe it is very unfair. So I got her corporates phone number and the customer serive number to complain.
