While the menu consists mostly of sandwiches and other bar fare, that's no reason to avoid the Blake Street Tavern. Situated in the up-and-coming ""NoDo"" area, they're next door to the former Flying Dog Brewery. From the Buffalo Chicken sandwich to the cheesesteak to the Prime Rib special, everything on the menu is worth eating.
Make sure to try the nachos; they are some of the best in Denver and the portions are just absurd -- bring friends.
The beer is also fantastic; mostly Flying Dog, though they offer some other fare. Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey is also available and everything is served by a friendly, knowledgeable bar staff that rivals some of the better places in Denver. They're worth getting to know.
The back rooms are also great and they manage to create a sports-bar-like atmosphere, without the douchebaggery, and still come off like a great neighborhood bar. If you're in the area, it's a great place to get a bite to eat.
Pros: Flying Dog beer, great food, not in LoDo
Cons: Parking can be rough, limited menu
