I needed to see an OBGYN after my move to Knoxville and thought one close to home would be the best, near downtown. The response I got from a downtown OBGYN office was that ""pain during periods"" was normal and I shouldn't need to schedule an appt. I went to Dr Brown, who is WONDERFUL, and happened to find a tumor. Is a tumor normal? Well, short story, Dr Brown operated on me (know your Dr AND surgeon!) and it's been 11 days. I feel great, almost 100% after a total abdominal hysterectomy. How many people can say that? He's wonderful, I highly recommend his office... oh, and his staff are some of the friendliest around!
