I live up in Washington Heights, and I've had some bad experiences with vets in the past. (Grouchy service, overcharging, attempting to bully clients into tests and services that aren't needed, you name it.)
After several years of frustration trying to find a caring, honest, reasonably priced vet, I found this WONDERFUL veterinarian on 112th Street. Dr. Ina Obernesser has a beautiful, clean, state-of-the art office, with courteous, friendly and knowledgeable staff. I recommend this practive VERY highly.
I have 3 cats myself (ages 3, 4, and 14), and I also work with a kitty rescue group here in the neigborhood. Believe me when I say I've personally seen it all when it comes to vets in this area, and Uptown Vets is really worth the trip a few blocks south to Harlem.
