Experience at Hospital for Special Surgery 6/30/2009

I have had numerous surgeries, however, this was my\r first time at Hopital for Special Surgery. I had a revision of total knee replacement, and everything\r from the time I agreed to surgery until the time I was\r released, everything went smoothly. Everyone on staff was efficient, extremely courteous, and very\r eager to help when needed. Doctor Bostrom must have magic hands, in as much as he corrected an\r extremely painful and out of place knee and leg, and\r gave me a complete new replacement. The pain\r after surgery was controlled well, and my progress\r since has been much better than last time as far as\r straightening, walking, and bending the knee. I am\r definitely going back in a few months for the other\r knee. VERY SATISFIED PATIENT.\r My only complaint also was that my family had to come from out of state, and there was no cafeteria for them to get a sandwich or cup of coffee after the little stand in the lobby was closed. The restaurant\r across the street was closed on the weekend when my family was there, and they had to go out somewhere to find a place to eat. If this situation could be corrected, there would be no complaints at all. Pros: Excellent Doctors and general care Cons: No cafeteria for visitors-terrible hospital food more
