Quiet and Intimate in the off season 6/15/2009

We were there in the off season for a winter resort town so the place was pretty empty. A lot of the locally owned spots are closed for several weeks in the summer so we were fortunate to find decent spot open. We started with the Calamari which was presented in non-conventional strips. The flavor and texture were great however. The entree menu did not match the sample menu in our hotel room in price or side items. Everything was 20% more, but they made up for it in flavor an presentation. I ordered the filet with gargonzola cream sauce (that resembled a little like cream gravy), asparagus and Yukon mashed potatoes. Everything was spot on. My traveling companion could not stop talking about his Grilled Chicken salad as big as Mammoth Mountain. The staff was sparse because of the season, but everything else was great. Pros: Quiet and Intimate Cons: The menu was 20% more than in local restaraunt guides more
