Dr. Lawrence is not as good as people claim 6/18/2009

This clinic has finally touched my last nerve. What is it with Wilson's Medical doctor's? Do we have the ones who graduated with Cs and Ds or something? Well, as for Lawrence my son is now 13 but she was his doctor when he was around 3 and 4. I called one day to TRY and schedule an appointment but as we all know, you have to talk to the nurses first and let them give you 1000 remedies and diagnoses before you get to the doctor. Her nurses gave us the run around for weeks cause they felt like he just had a simple cold and the nose bleeds were because he was picking his nose. We even left message Dr. Lawrence to know what the nurses were repeatedly recommending (but wasn't working) to be looked over and for she herself to give a call. Okay never got the call. We ended up taking my son to the ear nose and throat doctor (Dr. Satterly--WONDERFUL doctor who really knows what the heck he's doing may i add) and he was so disgusted with my son's situation. He said that my son was full of infection and he had developed an ear infection and who in the world was his doctor and why hadn't we had him seen. I explained to him that i had tried to get him in but i couldn't get past the nurses. He felt bad for a boy his age to have to go through something like that for a whole month and not had been seen by a doctor AT ALL about his condition. Ok.....so it's a long story right? Just a few more lines and i am finished. We called the office and told them about my son's condition and what Dr. Satterly said and yeah, you guessed it, all of a sudden they wanted to immediately have him scheduled with Dr. Lawrence. Her reaction was of a little concern, prescription given(though we didn't need it now cause he had already been given some by Satterly) and she was out the door. No apologies, and nothing done to improve the ""go through my pack of wolves, i mean, nurses"" syndrome. We were forgiving inspite of it all and we continued her being his doctor until my daughter was born. Now that's a whole new story. My daughter was given enfamil as every baby is when born. Well, i noticed that it was hurting her tummy as it did with my son and i myself am lactose intolerant. Well, i took her to Lawrence and she placed her on prosobee as my son had been. Well, i noticed that Prosobe was hurting her and gave her way more constipation problems than what my son had. Lawrence--and let's not forget the nurses---kept giving all these wack suggestions of how to 'help' her pass her bowel and Lawrence didn't want to change her milk. I mean, come on let's get forreal. Yeah, Prosobee is known to cause constipation but it should get better the longer the baby is on it. Noone wants to see their child sreaming in agony because they can't make a damn bowel movement and it's been going on for 2 whole months!! Guess what people, i changed my daughter's milk on my own to another lactose free brand baby milk and she IMMEDIATELY improved........and to this day Dr. Lawrence has no idea what kind of milk she was on LOL. I am not kiddin' guys. She never gave a follow up visit when i was trying to get her to switch the milk. I swithced her to Dr. Buck. He's great. My daughter because of another situation that happened at the clinic is now at Greenville Pediatrics cause i had just had enough. Nothing was Dr. Buck's fault though. I will have to explain in another review and then you readers will understand why i stopped going to the clinic Cons: In-and out......hard to follow up with more
