Hands down the best restaurant in Salida, CO. A favorite of my boyfriend's and mine when we are in town. The menu changes seasonally, which keeps us eager to get back to try something new.
On this last trip out, we enjoyed the Lamb and the Salmon. OMG, I thought that the menu last season was great, but this just blew our minds.
Chef Kurt is always gracious and comes to the table to speak with us when we are in. I have to be honest, it makes me feel like I am super special. At first we visited because of his recent airing on Iron Chef America and so wanted to try something special in the state. We come back because it is simply AMAZING!!
All I have to say is this man is not only a genius in the kitchen, but he is the most gracious chef I/We have ever met.
This is a MUST DO when in Salida, CO or even if you are just in Colorado, I highly recommend that you make the time to go.
