My husband and I were both married at the Ivy House in the 60's (first marriages) when it was a beautiful, inexpensive place to get married. I still have the photos and those of friends who were married there as well.
it saddens me that the business was taken over by crooks 40 years later and run into the ground. Greed being so prevalent these days, it doesn't surprise me at all.
I am just sad that it will no longer offer wonderful memories for many couples as it did through the decades prior. Maybe some kind person will revive it.
Pros: used to be wonderful
Cons: taken over by cons
