Ken, it is too bad you had such a poor experience and are so upset over pet meds, nothing the doctors did. I find the price is not much more from a vet. Anyway, if you fed your pets high quality food and actually read up on what so called HW medication really does, you would never use it again. Putting all that extra crap into your pet will lower his immunity therefore leaving him susceptible to infection, fleas, and HW. Do yourself a favor and educate yourself of what you are really giving your pets. And don't judge a wonderful caring veterinarian that you obviously trusted for many years over a prescription.
