I went to this location today to use the coupon I received for 2 free pieces of grilled chicken\r
\r
To my great surprise I was told that they refuse to accept the coupon. The clerk said that “we are a franchise and we don’t take coupons”. I asked for the manager of the store. She told me “we’re a franchise not a corporate store so we don’t have to take coupons”. I asked her why they were not taking this coupon and she said the same thing.\r
\r
Now I understand that the first response to this is they have that right. It’s part of their agreement with KFC. Fine. But why do they not tell you that they don’t accept coupons until you wait in line. Why is this not required to be posted on the front door?\r
\r
Perhaps the franchisee hopes that since you have already waited in line you will go ahead and buy something anyway?\r
\r
I have been a customer of KFC as far back as I can remember. So were my parents. So are a lot of my friends, acquaintances and business associates.\r
\r
I am no longer a customer of this location as of today. And this weekend, for the first time, I am going to El Polo Loco.\r
