We just got done with breakfast at the Oak St. Cafe. We haven't been in about 5 years since we lived down the street on Dante.
It was a great breakfast. New Orleans for all it's fine dining has a dearth of really good breakfasts.
I had a breakfast taco, my wife had the Mexican breakfast and the kids had banana pancakes and it was all really good.
And, it's a nice walk so we got some exercise too.
Oh, and with the Oak St Revitalization, Oak St. is totally worth checking out. Makes me wish we were closer, but the walk does me good too.
Pros: Good breakfast, friendly staff and music to boot
Cons: Lots of tables in not a lot of space (but it's OK)
