After paying way too much at a flashy local optometry ""chain,"" I decided to look for a better optometrist's office. I took a gamble and started calling places from a google search (uh-oh!) until I found somewhere close that carried my insurance. I certainly lucked out because I had a really positive experience at Vision Care earlier today.
The front office staff were quick to greet me and get my paperwork started. Dr. Bernstein was efficient and listened to my comments and suggestions about my contacts. The assistant who helped with my contacts fitting and exam was personable and knowledgeable.
They knew the details on my insurance and were able to make suggestions about how I could get a better deal. I ended up getting glasses, too, even though my insurance doesn't cover it, because they give a discount on glasses to contact lens wearers. They had a good frame selection with cute stuff. The staff member who helped with my glasses was so friendly and helpful.
Overall, a great experience. The office could stand to be redecorated, but it was super clean and well cared for, and I'd rather they keep costs down than put in a fountain like the one at my dentist's office. :) I was really very happy with their professional and friendly service.
