If you were around in the '80's, that is what the atmosphere is kind of like. It's just not all that modern but it does have a lush feel to it. The staff is attentive, the owner is usually present and the food and drinks are well-prepared. I enjoy the desserts and breadsticks in particular and the happy hour menu provides a lot of inexpensive options if you just need a snack. However, it is true that it is too pricey to go there with any regularity for a full dinner. It tends to draw an older crowd, which is perfect if you are looking for a quiet, unrushed evening out.
Pros: Respectful, elegant service
Cons: A tad too 1980's in certain ways
