I've been here several times and have gotten a great cut along with highlights/lowlights. It's definately a contemporary salon, if you're looking for a $16 cut with lots of teasing and hairspray, this probably isn't the shop for you. I've never had body work done there but as getting highlights can be a long process, I've been there several times when piercing/tat customers are in the shop. The folks were friendly and spent time with the customer going over the process and what's required while healing. I think if you're going in for piercings and tatoos, you should expect a little ""weird"", but weirdness is definately in the eye of the beholder. As for the competition and their reviews, get over it, get your customers with quality service, not by slamming the other guy.
Pros: Terrific cut, neat atmosphere
