It's a wonderful place to go riding and they have some nice looking cabins in the back that I noticed. They have a great looking bar/restaurant that didn't seem to be open - a little disappointing... It has an amazing feel to the place, you can tell when you see the homestead there that this ranch is very old like a piece of history, I could keep my camera down. It's a little frustrating when you call to make reservation because most of the time one of the owners seem to answer and they are rude and very hard to understand (very thick accents)... If you're lucky though you'll get one of the wranglers or the young lady in the office to answer the phone and they make it a lot easier for you. When you get there Stan - the owner loves to talk and talk and talk but once you get away from him you'll be off on your ride with one of the wranglers there. I was lucky enough to have a young man named Kevin from Louisiana I believe. He was wonderful, I recommend that anyone who ride there ask for him. I'm sure the other wrangler there are great but just to be sure ask for him and see if it's possible. After you've started your ride and begin getting out into the beauty of the incredible mountains there he does his best to make sure you're enjoying your trip and getting your money's worth. I made my husband go back to Fairplay so we could go to the ATM because I wanted to make sure he knew how great of a time he gave us with a great tip. One of the other guys that was there let it slip that while they do get paid most of their money comes from tips.
My advice just deal with Stan while you have to and the others there will do there best to give you what you want. Happy Trails
Pros: Great location, beautiful view great wrnaglers
Cons: AWFUL OWNERS - Stay away from them and it'll be amazing
