THE REAL RATING IS: negative 100. I took my beloved 13 year old sheltie in to get a smallish fatty tumor removed (non-cancerous) and they almost made us amputate. First beware of any vet that doesn't let you go in on a bandage change with your animal. they abused him because on his chart it said he was dangerous. never heard that before, or since and i would know because Princevalle Pet hospital on first street gilroy told me. !!GO TO PRINCEVALLE PET HOSPITAL i wish i would have had the surgery there!!!!!!!. VCA gave my dog MERSA which is a antibiotic resistant staph infection I was told that he may have to have his leg removed because of infection because the techs are TOO LAZY to properly clean and manage the wound then had the nerve to not let me in to see and charge $46 for a bandage change when all they were doing was drying it with a blowdryer and spilling iodine on my dog's tiny face. they must have left his 2 inch gaping completely exposed and stuck him in a filthy kennel. The place must not be sterile at all that should not have happened maybe that is why they dont let you back there and all they said is "it looks really bad" thanks jerks. I didnt buy it, SO if you want a happy ending when you were told the dog would need skin grafts or amputation go to !!PRINCEVALLE PET HOSPTIAL!! RUN DONT WALK. Cheaper and there are 4 women vets who got my dog's gaping wound (you could see the muscle) to heal in a month and a half and hes 13. PLEASE dont let them botch your dog's surgery. i would have been burying my dog if I stayed with VCA!!!! Dr Peter FIRE YOUR NURSES they look like they want to be fired anyway(horrible attitudes). I repeat PRINCEVALLE PET HOSPITAL if you want a MIRACLE and a REASONABLE PRICE. Im sorry for the ranting but i don't want this to happen to anone else's furry family member. I was thinking of a legal suit but my mom wants to be "nice". BEWARE VCA unless you want your animal to die and get charges thousands of dollars for your loss but at least dr. peter is "nice".
