I purchased a GM Certified Used Car from Bill Estes Chevrolet September, 2007. Since purchasing the vehicle, I have had 8 warranty claims ranging from a bad heater core to having the top end of the engine rebuilt. My latest claim was due to a fuel gauge malfunction which resulted in my wife being stranded on 465 for an hour and a half in 85 degree heat with my one month old and my two year old girls. I went to the dealership in good faith expecting them to honor the lemon laws I had looked up and refund the price I paid for the vehicle. They laughed at me and said that buying a used vehicle is a ?buyers beware? and no lemon laws applied to them. I was concerned that I should have been aware that purchasing a certified gm used vehicle would have been a bad idea and when I read the lemon laws for Indiana I find nowhere where it specifies that this only applies to new vehicle purchases.
