What I was told would take 45 minutes to 1 hour for the initial visit, took 2 hours and 15 minutes. One wouldn't mind if the doctor had been involved in the process, but the amount of time I saw the doctor was at most 5 minutes. Know that when you go in first they clean your ears, and then give you a hearing test prior to seeing the doctor. I had a problem with my ear in that it would plug up occasionally, pain in my ear, pain above my eye on the same side as my ear which throbs whenever I sneeze or cough. The diagnosis? The doctor told me I was loosing hearing ""due to my age"", and had no idea why the pain - which is the main reason for my visit. When I complained about the length of time for the visit, the physician said ""these difficult cases take time."" If seeing me for 5 minutes constitutes a ""difficult case"" I can't imagine how much time he takes when it’s a simple one. Sure wish he would have found the cause for my ear ache and headache, which continues today - almost two months later. A waste of my time and insurance money! The physician was rude and not a bit helpful. I need to find a better doctor.
