I could not be more lucky as a vegan to have this eatery nearby. The Chef is Trinidadian and the food evidences thoughtful West Indian influence, particularly in the decor, which is fun bamboo! The restaurant is very small, with a few tables and stools at a bar, but that is not an issue since I usually take out. I've never been disappointed with the food, and it is cheap compared to similar raw restaurants in NYC. Overall, the dishes are rather inventive, although you will still find many familiar meals. The pie deserts are extraordinary; there is no sacrifice of falvour or eatability here like you sometimes get with vegan deserts. They are raw, but very juicy and not dehydrated and hard like many packaged deserts. I'm very happy to have a local West Indian businesses to support.
Pros: friendly staff, super-healthy flavorful food
Cons: small space, occasional menu shortages, open late
