My wife always raved about the Garbage salad they used to offer at the downtown location. We stopped in to the Mequon restaurant on a whim because we were in the area and she had not had the Garbage salad in years. It was a disappointment, to say the least. Instead of fresh peel-and-eat shrimp and a homemade honey mustard dressing, she got small, canned shrimp and pre-packaged honey mustard on a bed of wilted lettuce with hearts of palm that tasted like they had been in the fridge for a few days. I had some chicken wings, which were kind of slimy and tasted as if they had been frozen for too long. We told the waitress that we just wanted to pay our bill and leave, since she noticed we hadn't eaten much of our food. She was very kind and took the salad off the bill, even though I was more than willing to pay. I would like to mention that I have been to this place before with work and the food has usually been good. However, the items I got were their Pork sandwich and a burger. I would just say stick to the basic 'bar food' items and avoid anything else, just to be sure. Even though I don't live around there, the bar area is big and seems like a cool place to have a drink or two.
Pros: Nice location, Large bar area
Cons: Food quality is poor, not fresh
