The management at Winthrop House is intransigent, uncooperative, and incompetent. Do not be fooled by the resident manager - Ms. Pat Stanley. She is completely inflexible and obstinate. In fact, she is downright dishonest. You're told one thing, then in good faith you attempt to comply, only to be blocked because she is, in my opinion, on a power trip. While the staff is usually friendly, (there are a few exceptions), the rules and regulations are ridiculous and prevent anyone from enjoying their stay there. In addition, any resident will encounter a good deal of snobbery from established, well-endowed fellow residents. I advise anyone considering to move in to reconsider!!
