I brought my car in because of an engine light and they told me that there was a problem with my oxygen sensor (this is what the computer says). $540 later I have a new oxygen sensor (and a bunch of other stuff they suckered me into- that's my fault) BUT..... When I get the car back I am suspicious so I take the manifold cover off (takes about 30 seconds) and lo and behold I have a cracked exhaust manifold. This is the root of the problem. Had they spent the extra time (30 seconds) to investigate further they would have discovered that the problem was not an oxygen sensor, but a cracked manifold. Now I have to shell out another chunk of change to fix the same problem.
