Dr. McElroy had been our primary veterinarian until our dog developed cancer. Following a diagnosis by a veterinary oncologist, we had our dog successfully treated. She was undergoing chemotherapy and had good quality of life. When it came time for her annual check-up, we returned to Dr. McElroy, who insisted that she had her annual ""shots."" At that time we did not know that a dog undergoing chemotherapy should not be vaccinated because her immune system was compromised by the chemotherapy. As a ""professional,"" Dr. McElroy should have known this. Our dog died within weeks of being administered the shots by Dr. McElroy. We took her to the oncologist one last time, who could not understand the dog's state of deterioration, given her previous check-up, which she had passed with flying colors. The only explanation was the shots that Dr. McElroy had administered, and from which he profited by charging the fees for them. Dr. McElroy operates a very greedy office.
Cons: Greed
