This is one of two Gold Standard Restaurants in the Quad Cities area of Florence, Sheffield, Muscle Shoals, and Tuscumbia, Alabama.
They have absolutely the best fried shrimp in the area and the Hickory cooked steaks over an open pit means they taste great. Even the Chopped Steaks are the best I've tasted anywhere and are made out of steak cuts such as filet and Ribeye. You won't go wrong choosing George's for a fine dining experience. They just remodeled and this is a great place to take a date or for couples on their prom dinner date as well. Although it's an upscale atmosphere you can still come in jeans if that's what you have and feel comfortable
