Starter Test Evaluation may be flawed 3/2/2009

I purchased a life time warranty starter from this store about two years ago. My 1994 F-150 eats starters, don't why but it does. The started worked fine until one day last week. While being many miles from the nearest service, the starter would not work. I checked the battery and tried a jump but the starter still would not work. As a last resort I banged on the starter with a wrench. This must have loosened something up because the starter then worked. I rushed back to the store, leavening my truck running, to claim a replacement part. I was immediately treated by store staff as If I concocted the story just to get a new starter. Subsequently, they put the old starter, after purchasing a new starter, on the test. They said the starter was perfect. Well Gee, was it my imagination that the starter didn't work and my feeling of being stuck many miles from service. The unfriendly staff said was company policy to refuse warranty when the test. I can see that the customer is never right at more
