With an upcoming wedding, I decided that buying a classic style tux would be worth my while. My future father-in-law also owns his own tux and kept on me to check out Barry's. Passaic is not in my usual travels, so my fiancee and I set aside a 'tux shopping day' to make the trip. barry's was our first stop for the day and our last. Upon entering the small storefront we saw the place was crowded and figured like your typical mall rental place we'd have to wait for our 'Who's next' call. Instead we were greeted very quickly by both a salesperson and then the owner who invited us to look around and assured us that someone would be with us shortly. Momentarily we were met by Rachael who for the next hour or so gave us her undivided attention. After cycling through several jacket styles, vests and ties, and discussing the pros and cons of rent vs. used vs. new I was fully outfitted. We discussed with the owner their policies for rental returns since our wedding will be in NC and we were thinking ahead for other wedding-goers). We discussed very fair alternatives to the usual 'return to me by Monday or $$$'. In the end while the drive for me is a bit of an inconvenience, I feel that with their selection I could return to the store and leave with exactly what I was looking for in one stop every time.
Pros: Helpful staff, owner is hands-on and helpful, great selection.
Cons: Location's out of my way personally, parking can be tight in downtown Passaic
