I have been wearing scratch-glare resistent glasses for many years. I have purchased glasses from the optical shop at Harvard Vanguard in Somerville and from For Eyes in Cambridge. Last summer John Parrelli outfitted me with new allegedly scratch-glare resistent lens for my Marchon Flexon frames. As the lenses scratched I ordered new lenses as the original lenses were under warranty. They charged me a ""warranty fee"" of $60.00. When I compare the lenses with lenses from my other pair of reading glasses that I purcahsed from For Eyes using a desk lamp I find that they are not glare resistent and they are much thinner than those from For Eyes. It is clear that they are not scratch resistent. The reason that I went to Parrelli Optical is that they are on Tufts Medicare Preferred list.
Cons: Dishonest
