Basic Moving followed through on all their promises. It was a difficult move to estimate. John took my spreadsheet and provided me with a binding estimate. I was skeptical that the estimate would be honored as stated. However, when the movers arrived on the day of the move, there were no hidden costs, no add ons.\r
The movers were professional. They worked from the moment they came to the door until the job of packing crystal, Lenox china, Hummels and my mom's solid wood furniture was complete. They worked for six hours without breaks or lunch. It was a full service move and I would never do it any other way. After seeing their packing expertise, I would never consider doing my own packing.\r

The truck left my mom's house in Toms River, New Jersey and arrived at an apartment complex in Sarasota, Florida. The movers worked extremely hard using elevators and long hallways to haul the furniture to the apartment location. Because of difficulties with getting large furniture through small thresholds and weight limits on elevators, the move lasted until 1 AM. Even at that hour the movers were professional right to the end.\r

I unpacked the last box yesterday. With 60 boxes of fragile items, only one small item was broken. I was shocked. Again, I expected the worst and was pleasantly surprised. I guess I listened to too many mover horror stories.\r

John Alfano stayed in touch with me before, during and after the move. He gave me his cell phone number and always answered my calls. It was difficult moving a lifetime of my mom's things but Basic Moving made the experience a positive one. I highly recommend Basic Moving.\r
