I frequently go to Joes and usually only order crab legs. On this particular day I decided to try the lobster that has been recently added to the menu. I noticed that the lobster came with pork sausage. I do not eat pork because it makes me extremely ill. I told our waitress this. She then got an attitude and told me that there was no substitute for it. I said that was fine I just did not want it on my plate or cooked with my food because it makes me ill. She then says ""well you can talk to the manager!"" The manager then comes over to the table with an attitude worse than the waitress?s and starts talking to her saying ""I don't know what the problem is, you're right, we don't substitute!"" I then told the manager that the problem was not that I wanted it substituted I just did not want the pork on my plate. He then says ""well I don't know what to tell you"" and walks away! I have never felt so disrespected by restaurant staff. The way things are right now you would think that they would appreciate the fact that they are still getting business. The ONLY reason I decided to stay was because my mother was visiting and loves eating at Joes Crab Shack. She was talking about going there weeks before she came to visit. I really do not understand why I was treated this way. I was not nasty with them and did not get an attitude. I just simply asked if my food can be cooked without the pork sausage.
