I haven't been to Lebanon, but I bet Cedar Garden's as good. 3/11/2009

If Cedar Garden were a man (and my fella didn't mind), I'd marry it! Whenever I come back to the Detroit area (my home), I skip Dearborn and head to this place--directly from the airport. No joke. The food is always fresh and never disappoints. The staff will tell you what's especially good that day or evening. They haven't steered me wrong yet. In the off chance you don't get it from one of Cedar Garden's efficient waitstaff as soon as you sit down, be sure to ask for the fresh bread to be ""piping hot"" to start your meal off right. The hint of sweetness will really get you salivating. The only drawback for me regarding this place is the entire menu is healthy--that means no wine or booze with which to get sloppy drunk during or after my meal with friends... I mean, the place is comfortable and there's no pressure from the staff to hurry up and get out so... Which leads to my second ""con"": Because again of the comfort/unwind factor, I tend to need lots of tea to keep me warm during a leisurely meal...large pots would keep the staff from having to constantly refill. I'm already planning my next trip back... Pros: Best (seriously) lentil soup, kibbe naye, majadra, more... Cons: No alcohol, no pots of tea (only individual cups)... more
