This used to be a decent place to eat, other than being a bit dirty. We had found a nicer Mongolian place to eat, but they relocated, so we decided to give this place another try. When we first walked in we were overwhelmed by the fishy smell. Then the lady was having problems using the atm machine, or understanding when we said 'two people, but paying seperate.' So we finally pay, and are escorted to the seating area and our beverage orders were taken.
We started with the chinese buffet where the egg rolls were hard and cold, and the egg foo yung was also dry and stale, and my brother said his chow mein was cold. Then I got a little freak out because the crab salad tasted different then I am used to, but I may have been overacting at this point, influence by the other factors, not really sure.
Then we decided to make a mongolian BBQ dish. I found 3 dirty dishes, just not washed well, there was conveniently a dirty dish cart nearby that I was able to dispose of these dishes. The broccoli had some pieces with bad spots on them. The noodles were almost empty with THREE pairs of tongs laying in the pan on the few noodles that were there. When I asked them to change out the noodles, they picked up the tongs, tossed them among other food items dishes, and then dumped more noodles into the same pan. SO I decided to just have the anglehair noodles that were available and looked nice and clean still.
OH and while I am making my Mongolian I am noticing my feet sticking to the floor. I do realize floors get dirty, but every once in a while you have to take a mop to it. The place wasnt really that busy at the time.
Very dissapointed, I really dont think I am being unreasonable. I honestly cannot bring myself to go there again. I will eat Thai next time, or drive further for clean, fresh place to eat. Go here at your own risk. I will be nervous the rest of the day.
Pros: only Mongolian place for miles, new seating furniture
Cons: Everything important: food, odor, and unsanitary conditions
