I have have been to many functions at The Brownstone, and have enjoyed the affair as well as the food. However, when I tried to book the glass atrium room for a bridal shower, I ran into some trouble. Initially, I was told the room was available for my date, and over the phone we were given a great price for a brunch event. Days later, when I was finally able to get someone on the phone about signing a contract, the manager was rude and insisted that I pay more per plate because now someone else was interested in the room for a wedding the same afternoon as my shower. More or less, he wanted to charge me more per guest because by booking my event he would lose out on a big ticket wedding - even though I had agreed to give him my business first. This was not really fair at all, but we negotiated a little. We really wanted the glass atrium room, so we agreed to pay a dollar a head more and offered to sign a contract.
