I have to admit that when I walked into the waiting area of the Prairie Schooner I wanted to walk right back out. The waiting area is lacking and leaves much to be desired. We sat for 10 minutes before a waitress came over (btw, the place was about 1/2 empty on a Saturday night) at which time we were taken to our table; I believe that first impressions are very, very important. \r
Luckily I found the restaurant itself to be very unique and cozy. The salad was poor - iceberg out of a bag with a little cabbage and peas mixed in. I expect more from a ""fine dining"" restaraunt. I ordered the marinated chicken and au gratin potatoes - both were delicious and made up for the mediocre salad. \r
The service was wonderful.
Pros: Great ambience and service
Cons: salad not so great
